eric selle, Music Director

Eric has loved music his entire life, and chose to study music at Concordia University St. Paul, graduating in 2004 with degrees in instrumental performance and music education.  He also earned his Director of Parish Music certification from Concordia in 2008.  His passion for servant leadership led him to volunteer with children and families in China, South America, and Japan, as well as various locations in the USA, while serving with various organizations, including Lutheran Youth Encounter, Fukushima Hope Project, and AmeriCorps.  Eric is presently enrolled at the University of Minnesota, pursuing a master’s degree in Music Therapy, and will complete his full-time internship at Park Nicollet Health Services in April 2017.  Eric has been married to his beautiful wife, Haidee, for five years, and just celebrated the birth of their first baby girl, Elena Jubilee, on August 11th!  They are richly blessed by God and thank Him for the gift of their daughter.  “Singing songs of praise is one way I love to offer thanks to God for His grace and faithfulness in my life,” Eric says.  “It is a privilege to help lead worship music with Genesis.”

How do you take your coffee or tea?

Coffee - I don't drink it

Tea - I love anything herbal - I take it straight (no milk, no sweetener, just unadulterated tea)

Oceans or lakes?

Do I have to choose?  I love both!

What's your favorite thing about the Twin Cities?
There's a lot to love:  ethnic restaurants, light rail transit, farmers markets, lakes, rivers. . .but if I had to pick one favorite it would be the parks:  there are beautiful parks all over the place!
